LONG BEFORE YOU WERE BORN
A multi-collaboration 6,8% Dryhopped West Coast IPA brewed by 23 women in the beer industry, representing 16 breweries from 10 countries.
Amager is pleased and proud to have the opportunity to package and release the first beer on behalf of G.L.O.W., the Gangsta Ladies of Wort. G.L.O.W. is an international group of beer industry professionals who represent the depth and skill of women in beer. Those of you who are fortunate enough to know any of the 30-odd women driving G.L.O.W. forward (including our very own brewer, Mariana Schneider) may be wondering why women need to come together to demonstrate their abilities. The reality is that G.L.O.W. was born out of necessity – there are still discrepancies in the beer industry on how different genders (in the exact same roles) are treated, and the impacts of this discrimination cannot be understated. G.L.O.W. firmly believes in building a world where gender roles are a thing of the past, discrimination is eliminated for anyone trying to break into the beer industry, and where organizations like theirs do not need to exist.
